While mediation is used primarily to resolve issues, facilitation can be used to resolve procedures. Where parties may plan to continue to be involved with each other in on-going relationships where recurring obstacles may arise, they may seek the help of a facilitator to identify issues and agree on better processes and procedures to ease future conflicts.
